Tommy’s Pantry

The founders of the Takoma Park Middle School Cluster Food Support Effort united in March 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to support Takoma Park and Silver Spring families in need. On January 30th 2021, which would have been Tommy’s 26th birthday, they distributed healthcare and cleaning items that are not available for purchase with SNAP/food stamps to hundreds of local families in memory of Tommy. The Raskin Family is honored that Wendy Kent and her directors have chosen to name their nonprofit Tommy’s Pantry. Tommy’s Pantry continues to provide shelf goods, wellness bags, and fresh produce on a weekly basis to families in the area.
